Every so often we have those moments where we are looking for say a shirt or something, and then we find another article of clothing and we say "geez I haven't worn this in forever." We laugh, put the item back, and never talk about it again. Then 6 months later it happens with another item. Is it attachment, nostalgia, or just laziness?
Flash forward to this weekend. Purging 20 items in our closet is modest enough where we both know we can do it, but enough where we know we will have a hard time with some items. We need to stretch to the edge of our comfort zone in order really grow our purging so it is a necessary evil. Hopefully this also represents the start of a larger overall purge that will bleed into our kitchen and living room (I am still trying to convince Anneli of this part).
For now we are happy to de-clutter our closets, donate our clothing, and flip it all into a nice write-off next tax season. (You know we had to tie finances into this somehow right? haha) Note to self: keep that receipt from the Goodwill!
20 items is easy...will you join our Spring cleaning de-cluttering this weekend?
Do you have a hard time letting go of your clothing? Outside of moving, have you ever purged 20+ items at once?
